Poor quality picture, taken through the glass of the window I haven't washed yet! I haven't had any humming birds at the feeder yet, but a big butterfly was there for a while yesterday.  And the little red headed finches are very interested in it.

I just ordered a new DVD on drawing realistic animals.   I've been thinking about it for some time, and it just went on sale.  So of course I had to have it!

Warm summer afternoons.  I don't know if it's an out-of-body experience, or just deja vu.  I am sitting here drawing and listening to music.  All the windows are open, and I am picturing myself laying on my back in the grass, looking for animal shapes in the clouds, or eating fresh tomatoes from my Mom's garden, or walking down to the river with my dog.
