There were several photos of these cartoons. After I posted them online, someone sent me a copy of a Life Magazine article about the men who created these cartoons.
All the planes had nose art, most of which pictured nude girls.There are lots of interesting pictures here. If anyone is interested in seeing them, click on the link at the top right hand column for my PBase gallery.

Wow, bet your uncle had some stories to tell being a photographer back then. Probably got shot at more than once too....
