New Toy

Everyone should have one of these!  It is a little hand held scanner.  I had a hand held scanner years ago, it was clunky and awkward to use, and didn't produce very good scans.  I have only scanned one picture with this, and it worked great. 

 
This is the photo I scanned - yes, another picture of Boomer, with his favorite kitten. It was from an black and white 8" x 10" print.

I've never even heard of these. How archaic am I? How about showing us 3 for comparison: A photo 1.scanned with your printer, 2.scanned with the handheld and 3.a photo of the photo. (For some reason my camera takes better pictures of old pictures than my scanner scans).

If I could get the scanner to work again. Now my computer doesn't recognize it. It has wi-fi, and when I tried to turn it on, the scanner searched for a network for a while, then just shut itself down. Now it won't turn on!
