Barrie and Kasey came to watch the Derby with me.  No fancy hats, but they both wore big gold hoops in their ears.  And Barrie had a beverage in a green plastic glass that wasn't a mint julep, but Kasey said it was a cocktail.

 California Chrome won easily, just as predicted.  But some are saying the field was so slow that he didn't have the competition.  I still think Commanding Curve would have won it if the track had been longer.  He was moving up fast, and still gaining at the finish line.

Anyway, it's always exciting to watch, and I love it that you can watch it over and over again on the Internet.

Kasey was really into it, and I couldn't believe how much she knew about the horses.

Barrie's  contract with Verizon is over, and she now has Union Cellular and a new iPhone.  She's pretty impressed with it.

I think I won't attend any hockey games.  in Brazil, some fans tore the toilet stools out of the bathroom at the stadium, and threw them into the stands.  One fan was hit on the head and killed instantly.
